But does its long list of scions include cyberpunk? At the age of 19, Shelley shared a tale with the world that evinced her era's fear of the powers of technology, while simultaneously highlighting the unfair privilege of class in England and abroad, creating a narrative that nearly every work of genre fiction can trace its roots to.
